A Real Startup

getting ready to launch a new business, in the midst of the recession... 2009 is going to be a wild year!

a recession is the best time to found a startup - the competition must manage an unanticipated situation - you can start with a clean slate

this is REALLY the VERY beginning. The next few weeks we will focus on our core competencies and come up with ideas for business model/s.

I think starting with services is a good way to generate cash in the beginning, while developing other products/propositions in parallel

in the beginning, it's much more cost effective to hire contract staff as you need them, rather than incur the costs of FTE

A virtual or shared office is much more flexible & cost effective than a lease. Of all London options I chose MWB.

some people think it's crazy to found a startup now. I think it's the perfect time.
