My take on the trade for Dame vs. blow it up discussion: If Brooklyn can get Dame without touching these picks, I'd strongly consider it: 2027 PHX 2029 PHX 2029 DAL 2028 BKN 2029 BKN If Portland demands several of those, I'm hanging up. If Nets can get it done with their two firsts this year, 2025 PHX, 2027 PHI, etc., that's when it gets interesting. They'd be left with elite assets and Dame to recruit a 1A. If Scoot is available at 3 and the Blazers wants Bridges, you have to strongly consider it. Not saying it's a no-brainer. I have concerns about a 6'2" guard who struggles as an outside shooter, but there's elite upside there. Basically, if the Nets choose to get aggressive, they better do so with a death grip on their long-term assets. If they choose to rebuild, it has to be around a blue chip prospect. But they need to pick one of those two paths. Riding with this current roster ain't it.
