If all goes well at the event, you wont get to see the inside of it, so here's some video if you're curious. The entire thing is built as an 8 foot wide "door" so we could swing it open to work on the inside - that was a fun challenge by itself!

Is this the biggest open-source split-flap display? Come see it - and other cool art exhibits - at Code:ART this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 5-10pm, in downtown Palo Alto. Outdoors and free to the public! Event details here: cityofpaloalto.org/Departments/Co…

@artlogic @joebauer It really depends on how you work. The Micro Brute will give you keys and can be used as a controller later. The 0-coast can be controlled over MIDI and is very great for sound design. Another one to throw in there would be the Moog Mother32, which is semi-modular and adds a seq.

@joebauer So would you say the Make Noise 0 would be the best option for a modular synth that could grow into Eurorack, or maybe the Micro Brute? I'm trying to find a decent entry level option that doesn't make it hard to grow.

Hey @joebauer, I just learned about the Korg Volca Modular and it looks really cool! Do you think it would be a good entry to modular, or would you suggest something else?
