Christopher Plummer only accepted to appear in "Starcrash" (1978) for 2 reasons. One of the reasons being his wish to visit Rome. As long as he landed in Rome, he was even willing to do a p0rn0. He loved the city that much. The other reason was acting alongside Caroline Munro - whom he said was "incredible to look at". Christopher Plummer was paid $10,000 per day. Most of his scenes as the Emperor of the Galaxy were shot in a single day. Here in his own words: "Plummer: [Breathlessly.] 'Starcrash'. Oh, my God. There are two things I can say about that: One, give me Rome any day. I’ll do p0rn0 in Rome, as long as I can get to Rome. [Laughs.] Getting to Rome was the greatest thing that happened in that for me. I think it was only about three days in Rome on that one. It was all shot at once. And the girl… What’s her name? Munro?
