A new(ish) Co-Intelligence Institute board and several active associates have been hard at work lately, yielding an array of community events and a new website — here's the December newsletter (the board's third), announcing the website and some events: madmimi.com/p/9f59351

@mymind I hear you, and it would be so great to be able to select items from your 'mind' and make them available to a private group space—so it wouldn't necessarily go against your ethos—it's just the definition of 'your mind' gets expanded a bit. :) youtube.com/watch?v=82xcIC…

@tinywindow Thank you so much Sitaaaa! Right now that is not totally planned because it would introduce a lot of challenges and would go totally against our whole "Your mind is private" ethos, so we don't know yet how we could make this work without sacrificing our original vision :/

@mymind love your product! Game changer! My brain heartily thanks you. :) Wanted to know if you plan to release an option for groups of people who are collaborating? #wish

@RichDecibels @zoom_us Webex just released breakout room support. Not great interface, but functionally it works. Perhaps the breakout room issue you're experiencing with Zoom is a limited problem? Have not had that experience and we just ran a 53 person session over 3 days with no issues.

🏳 Please recommend any video conferencing tools that have breakout rooms: @zoom_us is currently broken. ☠️

Who do I know is a good thinker, designer, person who can help structure things and help turn thoughts and ramblings into a toolkit or structured methodology? Ability to make it look nice is a plus! An interest in funding / governance / learning systems is a plus 💯

Excited about what this report might unleash in this country RE opportunities to reimagine our democracy from the ground up. Looking forward to continuing our experimentation around #civicaffection and citizen-led decision-making. amacad.org/ourcommonpurpo…

@tinywindow Thanks for reaching out! We're in touch with a number of organizations and working with them to best support their efforts to keep people safe and healthy. If you know of any group that we could be helpful to feel free to send them our way. We're all in this together.

@openfieldco curious if you're opening up any capabilities to support mutual aid organizing in communities? Seems a good fit, and would save a lot of time I suspect!

Imagine each of the 250+ Covid-19 Mutual Aid groups gets £5000 funding. To pay for groceries for the elderly, fuel for car trips, buying supplies for local resilience... That’s a £1.25million fund. What other grassroots action are you aware of that might need funding? Thread👇
