2023 World Championships | Long Jump

Though it wasn’t a podium finish for 2023 double NCAA champion Carey McLeod🇯🇲, his fourth place finish is absolutely remarkable. Tajay Gayle 🇯🇲 and McLeod had the same distance of 8.27m, but Gayle had better secondary leap of 8.17m to McLeod's 7.90m. McLeod had an awkward landing in his series after he slipped on the board during takeoff. No medal on the day, but his place in Jamaican history is secured.
