I was in Saturday evening church earlier with a dear sister in Christ friend when I was provoked to write this text. Now we are getting gas then Chipoltes! I like church. But don’t get me wrong. There are lots of tares ie false brethren ie wicked men & women masquerading deceptively as Jesus followers in our churches & the bigger the church the more the tares there are; & of course other problems exist in our churches…one particular problem that bugs me is incorrect doctrine or teaching! But who am I to say that? I am just one little nobody guy! But (& bear with me here b/c most will not agree with me on this one)…there is some brainwashed thinking in our churches even in our good biblical churches. I want to write a book about it but the wicked are spying on me & abusing me. One topic of a number of topics involving errors results from our pre-programmed even brainwashed mindset due to our unclear understanding of God’s use of the topic of “love” & “hate” in Scripture. (I hope to share more on this another time). The Preacher tonight said: “God’s love is unstoppable” This phrase provoked me to start writing on X here. See: Hosea 9:15 KJVS, (God is speaking here): “All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I HATED them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I WILL LOVE THEM NO MORE: all their princes are revolvers.” Query: How is God’s love unstoppable? God Himself stopped His love in the previous passage! Consider also this: 2 Chronicles 19:2 NIV, “Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king, “SHOULD YOU HELP THE WICKED AND LOVE THOSE WHO HATE THE LORD? Because of this, the wrath of the LORD is on you”! The man spoken to by the prophet DID HELP a wicked man (a child of the devil) and he DID LOVE a man who HATED the LORD-so God PUNISHED him! How do we reconcile this teaching in the Bible with the church’s teaching? The church instructs us to love everybody and our teachers teach us not to discriminate as to who we love-ie not to use discernment as to who we love; in other words, we should NOT ONLY OBEY the Bible’s command, “love the brotherhood”, 1Peter 2:17, but they teach us to love everybody indiscriminately (and forgive everybody)! But the Bible verse I shared with you, 2Ch.19:2, does not agree with that teaching-the part about loving everybody. And Malachi 3:6a in the Old Testament & Hebrews 13:8 in the New Testament both teach us that God & Jesus do NOT CHANGE. God doesn’t just hate habitually bad people in Old Testament times and then suddenly CHANGES & loves everybody in existence indiscriminately in new testament times. The church at times seems to think so from what I have heard in churches. And John 10:35 teaches that Scripture “cannot be broken”. That Scripture tells me that the Old Testament must reconcile with the New Testament and & vice versa. I suspect all Scripture does reconcile when rightly understood! And Matthew 18:35, Kjv, teaches us to forgive our BROTHER (in Christ), implying we are NOT required to forgive those God hates and who hate Him & reject Him & who are habitual evildoers. The psalmist says “your enemies Lord are my enemies, I hate them with the utmost hatred”(Psalm 139:21-22) BUT our churches tell us to love everybody and forgive everybody. Most say most end up in hell! The Bible also teaches that, Ro.9:27b, NIV. Only the forgiven by the Almighty are in Heaven. Why are we required to forgive them if God doesn’t? Luke 17:3, NIV, says this: “So watch yourselves”. “IF your BROTHER or SISTER sins against you, rebuke them; and IF they repent, forgive them.”Nowhere in the Bible does it say to love the wicked; and in the New Testament it says,”if you don’t love your BROTHER, you’re in darkness” NOT if you don’t love the wicked; & nowhere in the Bible is there a rebuke for hating the wicked. The church has challenges & there are errors in interpretation. The devil & the wicked tares & our wicked world has hurt the church!
