@idayatjinadu_ It's fair if I agree to it. If I think I'm worth more, then I wouldn't agree to it. If no one can agree with what I think I'm worth, then that's not what my labor is worth.

Is the 20k fair to you? If the boss is making 300k from your 20k value, is it fair to you? If your labour is why the company hasn't closed down, is getting 20k fair to you? Please read about labour rights.
VVV@triplevagain

@idayatjinadu_ Because someone agreed to pay me more? Why would I take less when that is the case. If no one agreed to pay me more, then I'd have to take the 20k or find someone else who will. You're the one who clearly lacks any understanding of economics, as is typical for socialists.

@NIsurie85517 In fact, BW actually overrepresent in crime respective to their gender more than BM do.

@NIsurie85517 Doesn't really work because BW also are overrepresented in criminality, the only female demo to outperform a male demo(Asians) in criminality.

What's this? You guys are daunces. Why don't you collect 20k salary in this country since there's no intrinsic value in labour? Market place is capitalist. It takes advantage of the poor. That's why it breeds billionaires. You guys didn't do economics in ss1 ni?
VVV@triplevagain

@Airbwoi01 @idayatjinadu_ Yes. The moment you execute a transaction willingly in the market place, you got what you were worth. There is no intrinsic value in labor. Your labor is worth what someone else agrees on. The man who made the billion is worth more because he got people to agree that he was.

@freedomforzags @michaelinioluwa a license to her intellectual property. Your argument also ignores where the actual value comes from for a backwards labor theory of value. The billions didn't magically appear when some intern brought an editor his coffee. It was generated by voluntary buyers who valued her IP.

@freedomforzags @michaelinioluwa The argument doesn't work because it conflates voluntary IP licensing with personal moral responsibility for unrelated corporate operations and it leads to an absurd purity test. You can't conflate her personal earnings with corporate wealth because she was paid for +

When people say, no billionaire has “ethical wealth”? What exactly do they mean? JK Rowling became a billionaire from writing books. George Lucas made his money from creating Star Wars. How is any of these unethical?
Crochet Creator🧶@OreAkinde

I wish we can all turn away from money worshipping as a society. Nobody should be aspiring to be a billionaire. No billionaire has ethical wealth. The politicians who are also billionaires are the reasons why you are very poor. They don’t have your interest at heart.

@triplevagain @idayatjinadu_ 2 men both farm a plot of land each. Under the same weather conditions, the same quality of soil. During harvesting season. Man 1 generates 1 billion yield, and man 2 generates 100 thousand yield. Did they both get the worth their labour?

It's not unethical because of how they got the money. It's unethical because of the process. If every employee who worked to publish Harry Porter or Star wars, every single person hired, were paid exactly the worth of their labour, would these people still be billionaires? Gathering billions is unethical because it requires, at its core, what should have been the labor compensation of so many people being given to one person. It's unethical because making profits at that scale means that so many people's labor was used and paid very little. If every single person involved in the creation of those books got paid accordingly, without profit of the company and the writer in mind, JK and George wouldn't be billionaires.

@freedomforzags @michaelinioluwa The publisher's employees aren't her employees. The author is an independent contractor. This is an argument as to why the publisher is unethical, not the author. It's like arguing a plumber is unethical because the owner of a house he works on doesn't pay his maid a living wage.

@triplevagain @michaelinioluwa The publishers have employees and so do the studio that made the movies. Again her wealth isn’t tied to just the writing of the book.

because it's not about what you did to attain the wealth per se. it's about the people who you most definitely cheated to acquire that much wealth on your own. if you made enough money to be a billionaire, then some of your employees should be millionaires by default

@michaelinioluwa She didn’t publish the books independently or make the movies herself so the question of if her wealth is ethical isn’t just tied to her writing them. I believe between 1-10 billion net worth you could still be an ethical person but she’s not though.

@michaelinioluwa It doesn’t have to do with the product. It’s the fact that the employees are not getting to share in the wealth. When you look at companies like that- the gap between employee earnings and shareholder earnings. It is typically significant significant.

@Thehumanspringr @nuevaayor @Pauline98476699 When "Negro" was still the acceptable universak identifier in the US for African descended people, Jamaica had already diversified into a cultural understanding of Free Black versus Negro/Neger. You do not know Caribbean cultural history, you're chatting pure ignorant fuckery.
