🚨JASON THOMAS: CANCER SCIENTIST FOUND DEAD UNDER SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES 🚨 Scientist **Jason Thomas — Assistant Director of Chemical Biology at Novartis** — was found dead on March 17, 2026. His body was recovered from Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, MA after the ice thawed. He had been working on potential cancer treatments (including chemogenetic approaches, small-molecule drug discovery, targeted protein degradation, and pre-mRNA processing inhibitors for cancers such as **AML**, **Ewing’s sarcoma**, **breast cancer**, and **ovarian cancer**) with active Department of Defense contracts. He told others he was **not suicidal**. He left without feeding the dogs, left his keys, wallet, phone, and even his Apple Watch in the mailbox — behaviors described as completely out of character. **Obituary**: Jason Thomas, 45, of Wakefield, Massachusetts, dedicated his career at Novartis to advancing chemical biology and promising cancer research. Devoted husband to Kristen, loving family member, and proud father to five dogs. Last seen leaving home on December 12, 2025, while grieving the recent losses of both parents. His passion for science and hope for a cure leave a lasting legacy. May he rest in peace. Prayers for his wife, family, friends, and the scientific community.
