Alright reporting back with the CN names for the new lore locations / titles teased in the 5.0 teaser. As I suspected, some reveals rich linguistic layers only found in CN (and possibly JP/KR, can someone confirm) while others are pretty direct: 1. Cosmic Empire = 寰宙帝国 huán zhòu dìguó - Breakdown: 寰 (huán, all encompassing) + 宙 (zhòu, time/space) + 帝国 (dìguó, empire) - Deeper meaning: Could suggest a vast empire that spans the entire universe, both spatially and temporally 2. Alore Galaxy = 阿洛尔星系 ā luò ěr xīngxì No direct meaningful translation but phonetically very close to 阿罗洛尔 (Arotinolol), a cardiovascular medication 3. Neezir Galaxy = 纳泽星系 nà zé xīngxì - Potential linguistic origins: Possible connection to Japanese "natsu" (summer) - Potential derivation from Arabic "Nazir" Most likely phonetically constructed 4. Glory Federation = 恒曜联邦 héng yào liánbāng This is the most interesting one imo, because the nuance conveyed in CN is absolute genius. - Literal translation: "Eternally Radiant/Forever Shining Federation", sorta like "Glory" but... - Notable character choice: 曜 instead of 耀, both sound exactly the same (yào) but 曜 is tied to solar imagery and days (i.e. days of the week like Monday, Sunday). While 耀 = brightness/glory The choice of 曜 instead of 耀 implies a deliberate connection to the sun, days, cosmic cycles and time, beyond just pure brightness and light 5. Khaosi Galaxy = 卡奥斯星系 Kǎ ào sī xīngxì Clear derivation from 卡俄斯 (Chaos) 6. Sanctide Court = 圣湖之廷 Shèng hú zhī tíng Literal translation: "Court of the Holy Lake" 圣 (shèng): sacred, holy 湖 (hú): lake 之廷 (zhī tíng): court/tribunal
