A breakthrough in real-time video generation. As a research preview developed with @NVIDIA and shared at @NVIDIAGTC this week, we trained a new real-time video model running on Vera Rubin. HD videos generate instantly, with time-to-first-frame under 100ms. Unlocking an entirely new creative paradigm and bolstering the foundations of our General World Model, GWM-1. Real-time generation opens a fundamentally different design space for video models and world simulation. We're investing in co-designing our models alongside advances in hardware to keep pushing this frontier.

so this is amazing, and definitely one of the most surreal experiences I’ve had on the internet. video changes everything and makes it so much more personal (and kinda awkward sometimes!)

Yes. One of the biggest lessons for me in past few months:
Many problems disappear when you assume that the models just get smarter, a lot.
Extreme example: you don't need constant feedback loops, when you never make mistakes.

Huh. So Anthropic doesn’t want an ecosystem built on top of their SDK. Message received. Between them banning OpenCode, their hostile stance for OpenClaw, and now this: Anthropic make it they don’t want 3rd parties to build on them. Bug win for eg Codex, MinMax and others…

I tried Cursor _properly_ for the first time a few weeks ago and I felt the UX was really poor out of the box. I’m sure you can tweak it to work, but right now it tries to be both an agent-manager and an IDE - and its too much

Cursor now uses subagents to complete parts of a task in parallel. Subagents lead to faster overall execution and better context usage. They also let agents work on longer-running tasks. Also new: Cursor can generate images, ask clarifying questions, and more.

I have to respectfully disagree with Beff here.
Cursor and all VSCode-like IDEs are the old way.
We need the new way, agentic first, code several layers down and not prominent.
xAI doesn't need Cursor. They need to build what's next.

I really hope Cursor joins forces with xAI. Seems like this is the only way they can compete. Elon has the compute and capital, Cursor the UI / user base / dataset / flywheel.

CanvasKit is very good and AI Agents love it. This is also how we built Amp Tab in VS Code - generating transparent images of diffs that can be rendered anywhere

this would've been overkill 1y ago but @vercel/og (lib for generating rich social previews for webpages) doesn't allow custom font features, which we use in our brand so i had Claude write a custom renderer using canvaskit-wasm @vercel/og left, Claude right (note the a's)
