Incentivising
Incentivising@incentivising·
Game theory explains why working harder inside a broken system is the worst response to that system. Because a system is never truly broken. It's just producing exactly the outcomes its own incentive structures were designed to produce, whether intentional or not. Working harder inside this system increases your output in the payoff matrix, but it simply won't change the actual structure of the system's matrix. Thus, the correct response is not more effort. Instead, you must aim to identify whose interests the current structure serves and position yourself in favor of those interests rather than against them. Change the game, or play the game that is actually being played. Either way, you must stop optimizing for the game you wish it to be and start acting realistically.

Guess who is opposing Dangote’s proposal to build a 1.2M barrels a day refinery in east Africa (Tanzania, Kenya and Congo) World Bank and IMF. : ))) Their argument? it would give monopoly to one company over energy. 1) All the while, French refineries are in almost every oil producing countries in Africa. 2) No African countries could get a loan to build a refinery larger than 400,000 barrels per day (one of the most profitable businesses ever). So the majority are small and struggle for profitability. 3) Nigeria oil had to be exported to Europe, refined and in many cases sold back to Nigeria and ECOWAS countries, under companies like shell and total. 4) it took until a billionaire financed the refinery in Nigeria himself to change part of that production and supply pipeline. And today, after the Hormuz blockade, EU countries are now buying oil from Dangote.

Growing up in a Kikuyu homestead, the first casualty was your gourmet tongue. We buried it at age 5. We don’t do fancy here. The spice rack had one MVP: salt. Pepper was for the rich, and herbs were what goats ate. Our food prep wasn’t cooking, it was emergency first aid. Step 1: boil. Step 2: mash. Step 3: survive. That’s the full recipe book. But honestly, that was the appetizer to our real problem. The main course? Meal prep for the apocalypse. Githeri wasn’t cooked, it was commissioned to last 4 business days. Refrigerators? Those were myths, like dragons and polite in-laws. I used to swear bacteria took one sniff of our cooking and filed for relocation. Just when that githeri started plotting a coup in the sufuria, Mum would baptize it with cold water and sentence it to 2 more days of hard labor. But the undisputed champion of immortality was mukimo. That thing would grow a fur coat of mold and still get served with pride. I’m convinced it could outlive all of us. Anyway, to cut this long suffering short, my house runs on the Rule of Two. Food is legally allowed to exist for two meals: supper and lunch. After that? Hiyo ni contract ya mbwa yangu Kipchumba. He’s our official food waste management officer, and he’s thriving. Leo amekula bishori rice anatembea kama minister.

Senator Okiya Omtatah has taken the battle to the High Court with a petition that could change Kenya’s history. Omtatah argues that of the Sh9.11 trillion borrowed between 2014 and 2024, only Sh2.57 trillion was legally approved by Parliament through Appropriation Acts. He alleges the remaining Sh6.54 trillion is "odious debt" money borrowed unconstitutionally, never appearing in any budget, and never benefiting the people. The petition specifically targets USD 7.1 billion in Eurobond debt, asking the court to declare it null and void. In recent sessions, the IMF has attempted to plead diplomatic immunity, seeking to be struck from the case. Omtatah’s team has countered this, arguing that an international organization cannot commit "economic terrorism" by funding illegal processes and then hide behind immunity to avoid accountability. The Chief Justice has assigned a multi-judge bench to determine this case, acknowledging that the question of whether a nation can repudiate "illegal" sovereign debt is a matter of supreme public interest.

IMF and World Bank must first cancel all the Odious Debts they gave crooks in government to service their lavish lifestyles with at the expense of Kenyan taxpayers. More than Ksh 6.8T cannot be traced in the economy, and therefore the looters and the lenders should negotiate on how to settle that, without involving Kenyans on something they never incurred. " Why should the sovereign, pay for a debt they didn't incur?" #DeniBandia #ReKe
