Refunded Crimson Desert on Xbox PC App. Refuses to launch, no matter what I do. Xbox SEVERELY needs to fix their Xbox PC app if they are moving to Helix.

@Colteastwood @dannymacf606 I like that better than just blaming Xbox. It's saying what is xbox's fault versus just blaming them. If we just blame them, don't say what it is then all we do is blame them and not giving actual true criticism

@Ninzolow @Colteastwood I'm being and playing devil's advocate cuz it is it really xbox's fault when it's one game. Is it happening to multiple titles or is it just one title? Who's truly at fault is what I'm asking. I'm not defending Xbox. Is it an issue? Absolutely but who's truly at fault?

@Ninzolow @Colteastwood This isn't defending Xbox dude. I'm being a system engineer which I can't really take it out of me and trying to diagnose and troubleshoot. This has nothing to do with Xbox. If PlayStation was doing I'd do the same thing and say the same exact thing

@Xavier1415 @Colteastwood Correct. I would say if it was more than just one game then I would say it's Xbox store causing it when you troubleshoot and I troubleshoot a technical issue. I look to see if it's happened to multiple instances and if it's not then it's the user not the system

@Colteastwood You're technical. How is it xbox's fault? If any other game on their store phone is working, wouldn't it also be on a developer as well? And what if the developer didn't have their code fully right now? Yes it's on Mar Xbox to catch that just playing devil's advocate

@Randall85850773 @foxygames_uk Do you know how ridiculous that sounds battlefield does that because they scan your hardware in order to make sure that you're installing a game on something that can actually run that game? It's different than installing just a launcher.

@usguyver @foxygames_uk If a program can detect hardware and then not run if it detects it. The battlefield 1 beta for example could read your gpu and block it from running if it thought you couldn’t handle it. You could modify registry files and make it work but it locked you out otherwise

*RUMOUR* "Sony will sell its PC games on its own store.." So if this isn't indicative of Sony not wanting to sell its IP on Steam (-30%) "Delist" Project Helix (No Access), I don't know what is.. Remember, if Sony delist games, I (FGUK) told it first.

@Randall85850773 @foxygames_uk Can you give an example of when any manufacturer has done so because I'm a senior system administrator getting ready to be promoted to an engineer and most time that never happens usually again. And if you're talking about them blocking from an exe level they can't

@usguyver @foxygames_uk Programs can detect hardware or the even OS you’re running and blacklist it from running on it. It’s just not really done very often.

@Randall85850773 @foxygames_uk Do you really think Sony can do that? You can't do that on normal PCs. So if you ever claims that the Helix is a PC, you can't do that. You can't Target the hardware as you are saying since a PC is a PC

@usguyver @foxygames_uk Unless Sony programs it to detect the helix hardware and not install on it. Of course this is all hypothetical. But I don’t see Microsoft letting you have that much freedom on their new console. Theyre not just selling it as a pc for a reason.

@Colteastwood This is a error and a bug on Mark's house part but it's one out of how many games. If it's only happened on this one game come on guys, that's the one game. They'll get it fixed

UPDATE, it ONLY just now (after 45 minutes) populated on Xbox Mobile App to purchses. This is unacceptable.

UPDATE: North American consumers CANNOT buy the regular edition of Crimson Desert on Xbox site, Xbox PC App, Microsoft Store or even Xbox Series Consoles!

@Randall85850773 @foxygames_uk Then you go back into Xbox mode which puts you back in a console mode. And voila you have PlayStation launcher

@Randall85850773 @foxygames_uk And if you can get to the desktop which it still makes a console because it's a hybrid, you can then just install the PlayStation launcher by downloading the exe just like you would on a computer

@CaptainChats @foxygames_uk No, it's not because it's a dual booting running two different os's. You do know that current Xbox runs Windows right, but it's hypervised and it's running the Xbox OS in one VM and Windows controls most of the functions. You just don't get access to it

@Randall85850773 @foxygames_uk Yes, but they're saying that you can just install any third party storefront which means you could install PlayStation's storefront. If they're saying you can install any third-party storefront and add any software from there storefront

@usguyver @foxygames_uk You’re assuming this based on the ROG a system they didn’t make. I mean fair to an extent but this is from the ground up their system. They’re not gonna give up control. The fact they’re calling it a console hybrid instead of just a lc tells me they’re not gonna keep it open

@CaptainChats @foxygames_uk But you'll have the choice to go to desktop mode. You see it's the other way around with the rog Xbox Ally is. It was a horrible setup because you have to to updates like a normal Windows because the full screen experience is not fully baked yet but it will be so

@CaptainChats @foxygames_uk No, it won't be a standard PC because the rumor is you can boot into Xbox game mode which would be the console experience and that's what they say is going to probably boot directly into out of the box so it's an easy setup. You just put your Microsoft account and away you go

@Randall85850773 @foxygames_uk And then access to be able to install applications. Any application but you go right back into game mode which is what you're going to stay in most of the time. But that means you can install a PlayStation PC launcher
