@Yaqoob_ADC Atiku, a man who ran for presidency just after a Fulani Northern presidency of 8 years is not desperate? But Peter Obi is desperate.

Peter Obi should look at the bigger picture and step-down for Atiku. His desperation will lead this coalition to nowhere.

@Ucijomanta You guys are impossible. 24 years and counting without Igbo Presidency. Yet it is PO that is stopping what was never there. Atiku chose to run against natural justice and equity in 2023 yet PO is the problem. Go to hell

At last Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi would miss out on the Presidency, but the SE will feel the pain more, because in 2031 Power will go to NE. 2027 is the SE year to negotiate power.

@nuhuyohanna39 Rubbish talk. This is 24 years in the fourth republic without Igbo Presidency or vice presidency. Nigeria has already placed obstacles to Igbo presidency. SW has had 8 & 8 for both. Nothing special gave them that. The Igbo will be fine without power even till eternity

If Peter Obi were from the South-South or the North-East, I honestly wouldn’t have a problem with him running however he wishes. But as it stands, he appears to be shaping the political direction of a region that has not held the presidency for over 50 years. If care is not taken, he could end up becoming the biggest obstacle to an Igbo presidency in this Fourth Republic.

@HAHayatu Atiku with his extreme selfishness by running for presidency just after a Northern presidency brought us here. No Southerner ran against northern candidates in 2019 but Atiku couldn’t respect this stand. I don’t like Tinubu but I will distance myself from any Atiku candidacy

After all said and done the best ticket to unseat Tinubu is Atiku/Obi, but with Obi exploring other things then Atiku too can explore other things , this brings Makinde into the equation. Can Makinde bring votes ? The reality is his strength is just Oyo but because a Yoruba man is president it will be difficult for him to thrive , the Yorubas cannot trade presidency for VP. Another angle is finance , yes as sitting Governor he can bring good financing but we must learn from history, Okowa brought financing but could not even win the state he Governs for us. Makinde choice may also trigger a negative domino effect in SE and SS that the ADC is poised to take. I think there must be rethink .

@jrnaib2 Truth is that Atiku had no business running in 2023. In 2019, the South respected zoning and none from the South ran against Northern candidates and Atiku emerged. In 2023, Atiku selfishly chose to run just after 8 years of Northern presidency. And now he still runs. Selfish

Southern Presidency since 1999: 1. Obasanjo/Southwest - 8 years. 2. VP Osinbajo/Southwest - 8 years. 3. Bola Tinubu/Southwest - 4 years by 2027. 4. VP GEJ/South-South - 3 years. 5. President GEJ/South-South - 5 years. 6. Southeast: Presidency - 0 years. 7. Southeast: VP - 0 years. Lolz, continue!

Yesterday in Ibadan I had an encounter with someone that made me realise that we have not spoken about the travails we face enough! He was shocked that I was not surprised about how the OAU, Ife event Peter Obi @PeterObi was supposed to attend turned out! I told him it is a normal thing we face. I went on to ask him why does he think Peter Obi usually visits private Nursing schools or those run by missionaries? He didn’t know. I told him because the ones run by government would not allow him to visit or the officials take anything from him. While people were making assumptions that he was being biased in favouring some sections of the country, it was really because they were the ones that will welcome him. I told him about Chibok community. They reached out to me about the Chibok school from which 276 #ChibokGirls were abducted from in 2014 did not have computers. As soon as I told Mr Peter Obi he told me to make arrangement with the school that we will visit Chibok donate computers and printers (which they had not even asked for) and access other needs that they have and take care of them. First we were denied from going. Then Mr Peter Obi suggested we visit the capital and give them or any neighboring state, that was also turned down. The next was bringing the principal and some teachers with students to Abuja. They were not allowed to come. At the end Mr Peter Obi met with some members of the chibok community in Abuja and handed over the computers and printers to them with monetary assistance which he gave. @salakwa1 can provide more details sef! Most of the charity is with coconut head! They have been doing everything to truncate it!

Every Nigerian must listen to this revelation from Mike Arnold: Obama, Buhari, Tinubu, Nuhu Ribadu all played a big role in the current mess we are experiencing.

To fill 50 litres of a Corolla car: During Obasanjo’s time it cost ₦3,750. During Yar’Adua’s time, it cost ₦3,250. During GEJ’s time, it cost ₦4,350. During Buhari’s time, it cost ₦11,900. Now under Tinubu’s regime, to fill the same 50 litres of a Corolla car cost ₦61,350

@jrnaib2 So you are saying that the North won’t trust Peter Obi but the South should trust Atiku? I sincerely don’t blame you. I blame those you work for

Field Peter Obi as ADC’s flag-bearer, and Tinubu will deploy his Arewa Sheikhs to crush him in the North, dominate the region, and rig his way back to victory. Atiku remains the most realistic option to unseat Tinubu in 2027, fix Nigeria, unite the country, and serve as the bridge for Peter Obi’s eventual presidency. The game is simple.

Finally, for tonight, I am not a Politics Twitter person, so I want to drop this. When they ask you, "What did Peter Obi do in Anambra?" Tell them: 1. Education (Biggest Win) WAEC/NECO ranking: 26th to 1st nationally (held no. 1 for years). Rebuilt/rehabbed 1,300+ schools; returned mission schools to churches with full funding. World Bank studied the “Obi Education Model.” 2. Health Won $1 million Gates Foundation award for best immunization (polio eradicated). Accredited 12+ health institutions (from zero in 2006). Built state teaching hospital + stocked missionary hospitals. 3. Infrastructure & Economy Built/rehabbed 800–900+ km roads + 28 bridges. Attracted major investments: SABMiller ($100M+ brewery), Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing. GDP grew 40% (2009–2011): N735.8B to N1 trillion. 4. Fiscal Prudence & Debt Rated least indebted by DMO Handover Funds: N75B+ cash + $150M investments First Sub-Sovereign Wealth Fund in Nigeria (pioneering in Sub-Saharan Africa). Cleared pensions/salaries; zero arrears claimed 5. Security Turned Anambra from a kidnapping hotspot to one of Nigeria’s safest. No bank robberies in the final 3-5+ years. Gave security vehicles to all 177 communities. 6. Human Development HDI ranking: 8th to 3rd nationally. Strong gains in education (+22.5%) and health indices. When they ask you about Peter Gregory Obi, tell them what he did. When they tell you he can't transform Nigeria, tell them he has led transformation across all sectors before.
