I feel it important to denounce this technology and would personally reject the use of generative AI like this in any project I partake in. This is not a step forward for developers and us as artists, it is a step far back. "Creating" something with AI is not creation. It is consumption to the highest level on all fronts. It steals artists work, it strips creativity, it exploits mass amounts resources, it ruins the image of art and it destroys the very same drive and passion to truly make art over a false sense of convenience. If you truly view yourself as an artist, and have even the slightest bit of comprehension about what it means to create art, to express your own passion, then you should understand how much of an insult technology like this is to everything you do. Understand we are where we are now, on a platform like Roblox, because genuine passion and love for creating games for tens of hundreds of millions of people to connect with.

Predators will fake their age because people do it already. This WILL happen it's not something that you can say "probably wont" or "wont happen that often" the problem is that it'll happen and no adult or insightful person will be aware of the behaviour to report or moderate it because the messages are invisible to them. Not to mention that the system for age estimate is already giving 20 yr olds 13+ off estimation without even trying to bypass.

This update would significantly reduce the number of predators on the platform as it's an extra guardrail of protection, most predators aren't gonna go through the extra step of using AI or making a fake ID to verify. Some might, yes, but the number of predators will dramatically reduce by a lot, compared to when everyone was allowed to chat with each other (no guard rails at all). The main issues I do see with this is security wise (i wouldn't trust roblox with my face), and also the roleplaying community would drastically reduce for sure.

I've seen a lot of discourse about these changes to come and thought it appropriate to give my opinion on them. From every regard, this is a HORRIBLE change and should never be implemented on Roblox. These changes HELP predators and sick individuals to select their 'age group of preference', fake their age using AI or fake imagery and then go on to chat to these easy-to-target children unsupervised in a chat where no adult or moderation can see it to report this behaviour. This is EXTREMELY dangerous and only gives these predators a tighter, more secure space to speak to children in bad faith. Not to mention, most games on the platform, which heavily rely on chat and social game-play, have a team of moderators who look out for predators and people breaking TOS. Since the majority of game mods are usually older than 16, this will prevent mods from seeing this behaviour and will make in-game moderation practically impossible to upkeep. Roblox has been a social platform since its creation. They have marketed themselves as a social platform since day 1 and have upheld that standard for the rest of time. Many role-play and social games on the platform have been created since then. These games are essentially at risk of now being completely nonviable to create and upkeep. These changes will divide social aspects into SEVEN categories. This will do nothing but leave players in games unable to see each others messages, thinking all other players in their game are standing by idle, AFK or just straight up ignoring them. I understand Roblox's perspective with an update like this, and it is a well intentioned change. I don't think Roblox intentionally created a safe space for predators or anything along those lines. That being said, it is clear this was not thought out to a high degree and is just a band-aid over a large scar on the platform. If Roblox truly wishes to solve its issues with predators and sick people on the platform, it should instead target the real issue, which is allowing predators to go off-platform with victims. Roblox should partner with Discord and ensure that there is a safe environment created to avoid off-platform and unmoderated chats between children and adults. Roblox should target the thousands of NSFW or suggestive UGC posted daily that can be seen by the eyes of children. Roblox should revisit how parental controls work on the platform. There are hundreds of solutions to this problem. This is, by a large margin, one of the biggest platform-killing ones, and I am quite disappointed in this turn of events.

@glugpu @Fluorlite We're not baking any lighting in this scene all of it is coming from dynamic lighting !! Only little secret being used for shadows is; faking shadows in some areas to get more depth in the rock formations and to help un-flatten the visual.
