WORKING FIRE: 1200 VIRGINIA BEACH BLVD – BRUSH FIRE On 03/22/2026 at 17:03:07, VBFD and EMS units were dispatched to a reported brush fire in the wooded area near the 1200 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke and active flames spreading through dense, overgrown brush. Firefighters quickly began fire suppression operations, bringing the fire under control at 18:21:46 and marked out at 19:55:38. Units then remained on scene to extinguish hot spots to prevent further spread. The fire ultimately burned approximately 10-15+ acres. Crews successfully prevented the fire from extending to nearby structures. There were no reported injuries to civilians, firefighters, or pets, however one firefighter was treated for exhaustion. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
