Okay so in case you’re wondering how many cases we’ll see in $abvx Pt2 see table below. Expect about 1-4 total cancer cases in the 50mg arm and 0-2 total cancer cases in the 25mg arm. That will be normal. In line with the IBD baseline* below. So don’t panic when you see that. The pbo derived pts in the 50mg arm will also be a key sub group to follow. A 0 to 1 non NMSC disclosure in this subgroup empirically refutes the drug causation hypothesis Also in Pt1 the guys made a very good point pbo arm structurally undercounts background cancers (due to completion %) Any analysis that uses the pbo arm raw event count as the comparator without exposure time correction will systematically overstate any apparent signal in the active treatment arms. Still can’t believe we’re having this debate. But happy to make sure everyone is informed. *Derived from propensity matched real world dataset (162 events in 5,089 IBD pts over 4 years = 0.796 per 100 PY)

It is a combination of factors: Credit (delinquencies in Q1, not only for them but also for Itau, which appears to be tightening ), Brazilian economy + election year, CFO change…and expansion into US will take a lot of time to make it meaningful. It is one thing to go to Mexico or Colombia (or Peru or Argentina if they had chosen that path and another to the US where there are formidable competitors). All of that in the current geopolitical environment…even great banks like this one can get impacted. If I wanted to invest in a Brazilian bank, I would look at Itau first in this current environment. I can’t say where it goes. But if credit deteriorates further next Q and overall market declines, I would not be surprised if single digits. My opinion and I could be very wrong, as I have been many times.
