An absolutely insane Russian missile strike directly hit a lyceum in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odesa region. According to preliminary reports, it was a ballistic missile. There were no children at the lyceum — it is currently summer break — but staff members were present. Sadly, some people may still be trapped under the rubble. It is already known that two people were killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones.
The lyceum has been almost completely destroyed. A rescue operation is ongoing, with all necessary emergency services involved. None of these Russian strikes are accidental — the Russian army knows exactly where it is targeting. These are demonstration strikes. Russia’s leadership has no intention of changing, no intention of ending the war voluntarily.
That is why a real and painful increase in pressure and sanctions against Russia is necessary. Right now, we are defending ourselves against Russian attacks. But if Russia is not forced into peace, other countries in Europe will have to think about protecting their lyceums, hospitals, and ordinary apartment buildings — wherever these Russian murderers might strike. The killings and strikes must be stopped. Russia must face real pressure.
