I get that we are but imperfect beings on this Earth, especially those of us in “leadership,” but DAMN, can we not just agree on basic shit like if you didn’t grow up needing active shooter drills, then children today or even tomorrow shouldn’t need them too?! Can we just say kids deserve better? We have wasted millions attacking books… we’ve wasted millions attacking history… we’ve wasted millions worried about who plays what sports in school & the last time I checked the number 1 cause of death for children is gun violence and yet NO solutions on that from my “esteemed” colleagues. I’m tired… and frankly we ALL should be if we have a heart! Georgia deserves our sincere thoughts… the ones that lead to thoughtful legislative solutions & prayers for the passage of & prevention of some of this senseless devastation.

The covid-induced lung/vasculature damage and brain fog (not to mention potential early Alzheimers) to many of our children & associated effects on learning now and health later are going to have a greater effect on their future than online learning or wearing a mask.

I went to the Democratic convention in Texas this week and the delegates got really drunk and left without giving us a platform.

Folks left bc a convention co-chair said party business was over even tho we had not had the committee reports. So folks left before that was corrected 10 min later.

@thesandrafiles @Miriam2626 It was leadership deciding the session had gone on too long and a co chair announcing business was over before committee reports were presented which resulted in many delegates leaving.

@JMJLaurent @Miriam2626 We lost quorum because one of the co-chairs said party business was over before we were presented rules, resolutions and platform reports. And nobody tried to stop it for minutes while folks streamed out.
