Former South Island Royals (now @viroyals_aaa) forward Ollie Josephson (@jdfminorhockey) was selected by @SeattleKraken in the 2024 #NHLDraft! Josephson was selected 105th overall in the fourth round!

Congratulations Ollie Josephson from @jdfminorhockey and @viroyals_aaa for making Team Canada’s roster for the 2024 IIHF U18 World Championship!

The #RoyalsU18 will have Jeff Kerr returning for his third season in the BCEHL. Jeff brings over 25 years of coaching experience, having led minor hockey teams from Victoria Racquet Club, Juan de Fuca, and Saanich. We are excited to have Jeff continue his work with the program!

Kyle Evans will be helming the #RoyalsU15 this season! We're excited to have Kyle rejoin the BCEHL after leading the Campbell River Storm of the VIJHL as head coach and GM. Kyle will bring out the team's best with a good mix of skill development and technical expertise.

Finally, the #RoyalsU18 will remain in the South Island for the upcoming season, where we aim to strengthen our relationship with the island’s hockey community. #BleedRoyalsBlue #OneIsland #bcehl

Our #RoyalsU17 program will now be based out of Victoria, which offers considerable advantages to the players and program. Having the U17 and U18 teams in the same area will allow for development opportunities that were not previously available due to geographical barriers.
