Heads up: I have COVID, just tested positive 😔 Highly do not recommend this, feels awful 😵‍💫🤧😷 I'm pretty sure I got it at #FAccT22 (though only tested positive after arriving home) so anyone who was with me should get tested!

In all the excitement of #FAccT22, I forgot to actually announce what I'll be presenting! Fortunate to be involved with 3 papers, centered on my interest in algorithmic accountability. The first: We discuss how current AI policy ignores the fact that many AI systems don't work.

The cost of time in most organizations is healthy conflict. Project, meeting, or document not worth your time? You have to tell someone they were wrong in what they prioritized. Many people will waste their time to avoid conflict.
