I don’t know if it’s right or wrong, but I’ve almost stopped factoring in death bowling while evaluating IPL teams. It’s incredibly hard to contain runs at the death, unless you’re Bumrah. Building a bowling unit that maximises damage in the first 16 overs feels more important.
