Hey Tamers💙 First, thank you. For every match, bug report, meme, and game night, you made Valiants: Arena feel alive. We want you to feel welcome here, even in a tough update like this. Over the last months, we've pushed hard to keep Valiants: Arena moving. We rebuilt decks, refined the pitch and spoke with VCs, private investors, angels, ecosystem funds, exchanges, and grant programs. We iterated on demos, milestones, and budgets; we explored partnerships, rev-share options, and even "build-with-us" proposals. Some conversations went deep, a few got close, but in today's Web3 gaming climate, it wasn't enough to safely extend runway. At the same time, developing an original IP at the quality bar we set is costly. Even with a lean team, the core pillars add up: - Art (concepts, characters, environments, animation, UI/UX polish) - Engineering (netcode, backend, builds, tools, QA) - Security (audits, exploit monitoring, anti-cheat/hardening) - Social/Marketing (assets, trailers, community campaigns, UA experiments) We shipped, we iterated, and you showed up, but current player volume doesn't offset ongoing costs. Keeping the game alive in its current form would burn out faster than we can replenish it. So here's where we are: - Valiants: Arena is paused. - $VGN token launch is cancelled under the original plan. - We'll try to keep the servers online as long as we reasonably can, but we can't promise it'll be for long. If they're up, jump in just for fun, that's what games are meant for, right? 😃 - @Vortrius is not going away. We still believe in what we're building. We're moving to smaller scopes, tighter loops, and ideas that can grow. We understand that this news may be upsetting to some of you. We feel it too. We gave it our all, and we know many of you did as well. The market is rough right now, especially for Web3 games, but your support has meant the world to us. We'll keep Discord/Telegram open for updates and honest conversations. If you're a partner who believes in this vision or someone with a connection we haven't explored yet, our DMs are open.
