@YURlOSTATIC I personally think that we should just talk about straight ships like this MORE often instead of talking about queer ships like this less often. Let them be strange too. Heteronormativism makes ppl see boy and girl and go MMM TRADITIONAL ROMANCE but what if we rose above that.

@voxvangogh + a fair bit of queer romance is non-traditional. I know that my relationship is. Creating your OWN version of connection and romance together is an extremely beautiful thing and queer people have NEEDED to do that for centuries to survive and care for each other, too.

i’m afraid i heavily disagree as an aroace who suffers from how romance centered the world is daily. i get feeling uncertain at queer ships being treated differently to het ones but i think that’s just bc queer people are more open minded about relationships outside of romance.++
