imo, The Arcantina feels like the canary in the coal mine for where Warcraft’s tone is heading. It leans into a whimsical, cozycore vibe that just doesn’t feel like Warcraft anymore. A shame, because it looks stunning. Imagine if it had uneasy faction tensions inside, with brawls breaking out in the lower levels. ⚔️🔴🔵

Blizzard is clearly trying to cater to too many audiences at once with WoW. You can't run a hardcore mmo and a cozy life sim at the same time without eventually losing the plot. It’s exactly what we predicted years ago. Nothing kills WoW but WoW itself. They are just shooting themselves in the foot. Design 101: Identify your audience and cater to them. How does a AAA studio forget this?

Lothraxion describing the end of worlds while handing me a piece of furniture for my house is such a strange disconnect. Quest rewards used to be a tool for world-building, but now they just feel like a checklist. Hard to stay immersed when the RPG logic is this broken. 💀

Why do NPCs still sell food when Recuperate exists? Remove redundancies to encourage cohesive game design, which in turn facilitates immersion.

Modern MMOs think they are doing you a favor by making everything easy, but they are just gutting the experience. The friction in Classic WoW, for example, is what actually makes it an RPG. Buying arrows, farming soul shards, or keeping reagents for buffs isn’t a waste of time. It's world building. When you take away those small logistics for convenience, you stop playing a living world and just start clicking through a UI. The prep is the game.
