Has anyone ever considered the theory that Zandik got expelled because HE knew too much? That for example he found out something, people were not supposed to know?
Perhaps Sohrehs death was used as a reason to expel and get rid of him before he would become a problem?

jokes aside, I really consider two options regarding this case: Zandik really killed sohreh because she knew too much, or she really was strangled by animals and the Akademiya blamed Zandik to use that as an excuse to expel him for having an "unusual" brain and methods
