Outstanding job again this year by Whatcom 7 Firefighters (including friends and family) in their annual Santa Food Drive! Donations collected will be delivered to the Ferndale Food Bank.

#Bellingham: Watch out for a vehicle fire on northbound I-5 just south of Main St. It's on the right shoulder, so use caution!

Fire District crews responded to 1228 calls for service during the first quarter of 2019. In comparison, last year at this time crews had responded to 1133 alarms. Just over an 8% increase.

District crews responded to 424 alarms in December. Overall total for the 2018 year was 4801 responses.

High Wind Warning, which is in effect from 7 AM to 7 PM PST Thursday. Winds should be south to southeast wind 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Winds will increase rapidly Thursday morning with the strongest gusts expected for a few hours Thursday afternoon.
