Iran just murdered 40,000 of its own people for daring to demand some basic freedoms. It continues to hang young men and women for the slightest of protests. As far as I know it continues to deny its citizens access to the internet so it can oppress them in silence.

Sarafand (ancient Sarepta) is one of Lebanon's oldest continuously inhabited settlements, dating back to Phoenician times. It is mentioned in the Bible as a city of Sidon and is traditionally known as the place where the prophet Elijah stayed with a widow during a famine (1 Kings 17:9–24). Archaeological excavations have uncovered layers of occupation spanning over three millennia, confirming its deep historical significance. As of late May to early June 2026, reports from southern Lebanon indicate extensive destruction of civilian infrastructure and residential areas in Sarafand, despite a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah that was brokered by the U.S. and France and took effect in November 2024. While the truce halted full-scale hostilities, it has been repeatedly violated, with both sides accusing each other of breaches. Israeli military operations—justified as targeting residual Hezbollah positions—have resulted in controlled demolitions and airstrikes that have reduced large sections of border villages to rubble, drawing condemnation from human rights organizations and the Lebanese government. The characterization of the international community as "complicit" reflects growing criticism from Lebanese officials, UN agencies, and civil society groups, who argue that the ceasefire's international guarantors have done little to prevent or penalize Israel's ongoing destruction of civilian areas in the south.

You can't afford a house. So you rent. Rent gets too expensive. So you buy an RV. It's illegal to live in an RV. So you try to live in your car. Still illegal. So you end up homeless. And it's illegal to be homeless on the street too. America made every affordable alternative to a house illegal. Then wondered why homelessness keeps climbing.
