@dee_bosa reigning in my many calendars has been my first cowork use case, too! may start a side hustle to onboard other moms in my neighborhood :)
might take a while but disruption could also take form of everyday ppl vibecoding their own hyper personalized tools for user base of 1

ok WOW.
Woke up this morning and said, for fun, lets try to recreate monday. com w Claude cowork. it wont work or anything, but we can just show our audience that its plausible.
1 hour later... I literally have my own monday. com that's plugged into my calendar & gmail and surfaced a kids bday that was not anywhere on my radar and I need to get a gift for. Can imagine next step being: order gift and have it delivered by Sunday.
2026 is WILD.

Excellent:
Agency is an undying commitment to iteration. Learning and doing in unison. Making mistakes and correcting mistakes without being seduced back into a comforting conformity because “it’s not working.”
High agency people treat life as one giant experiment.

Got asked the age old question today of “we dedicate xx% to KTLO and yy% to future world AI initiatives, but how to I optimize this including the zz% that’s on our core business?”
Here’s what I generally think
- you raise the bar on all prioritized work. what you invest in should feel do-or-die existential in the next 18-24 months. Good questions to ask: “if we do this and it fails will it really matter? And we do this and see the maximum success will it change our business in a meaningful way?”
- probably need to invest more in the future stuff at this moment. too much opportunity cost and startups are out there being way bolder.
- staffing models and org structures matter. you can optimize velocity by being thoughtful about how you team and structure against initiatives. Do not say Spotify squad to me; I will end you. Get creative.
- get the company bought in. most debates over allocation are really “the thing I want isn’t being built” OR “I don’t believe the vision you’re selling me on the new stuff.” if you can generate internal belief no one asks you if the right % of staff is towards tech debt.
- to the victors go the spoils: staff against momentum, not products. If a team proves they can cook, give them more. I’d rather bet on motivated high performance individuals than a category of work on a spreadsheet.
- mumble mumble squeeze water out of the engineering stone w AI
tl;dr
- mostly build against big bets
- minimize core rn, go ham on AI
- optimize your org & people vs feature lists
- sell the vision
- eng ai agents go brr

@venturetwins This is bound to start happening in the workplace soon, too. Unless you work regularly with someone, strong email comms will no longer be an indicator of strong talent

Also, salt air and rust on your door??

The door featured on Taylor Swift’s new countdown is the same door from her Eras Tour closing.
