We’re launching Claude Corps, a national fellowship program matching people early in their careers with US nonprofits. We'll teach 1,000 people to use Claude, and pay them to use AI to advance their hosts’ missions. anthropic.com/claude-corps

One thing to keep in mind as you try DiffusionGemma – you'll want a dedicated accelerator (GPU or TPU) to see real speedups. In particular, we love our MacOs AI developers, but this model may not be best for you!

Awesome to see this innovation in text diffusion. DiffusionGemma is lightning fast, 4x faster than other Gemma 4 models! Congrats to @bodonoghue85 and the team who worked so hard on this - excited to see what people build with it!

@Angaisb_ I just hope it's not lowering API costs before switching to credit based pricing

Apparently OpenAI is going to significantly lower API costs 👀 We've seen that Fable 5, as awesome as it is, still isn't that much better than GPT-5.5 at coding according to DeepSWE If OpenAI makes GPT-5.5/GPT-5.6 cheaper they will surely get even more users

@RealCoryEdwards dont let the loudest / dumbest "pro ai" people speak for everyone.. obviously plot / story / vision should be driven by a human. AI should be used for: feedback on uncertainty, bringing VFX / visuals from your mind to life, research / fact checking etc.

@adamcohenhillel @NarangShaurya I thought there was one coming about the Sama getting fired stuff, but with how fast AI is going why not just wait until AGI and make a movie about that

This is so poorly timed. The public is currently on “AI is taking my job hysteria” not “social media is manipulating your brain” hysteria. This looks like some ai trailer that I would see on Tik Tok for a movie. Also Jermey strong looks nothing like zuck?

First trailer for ‘THE SOCIAL NETWORK’ sequel, starring Jeremy Strong, Jeremy Allen White and Mikey Madison. The film follows an engineer who becomes a whistleblower on Facebook's most guarded secrets. In theaters on October 9.

@NarangShaurya fair but a lot of discourse around AI is heavily being steered by “social media is manipulating your brain” it will always be relevant bc it’s how we consume ~all media now

Let the plebeians know we will say fuck you to their face rather than quitely. And no we will not explain why we are flagging frontier llm research or what constitutes as frontier research also we will make the guardrails even more ham fisted
Hensen Juang tweet media
ClaudeDevs@ClaudeDevs

We’re rolling out changes to make Fable 5’s safeguards for frontier LLM development visible. Starting this week, flagged requests will visibly fall back to Opus 4.8—the same as our safeguards for cyber and bio. You will see this every time it happens. On the API, any flagged requests will return a reason for their refusal (coming to server-side fallback in the next few days). We wanted to deploy Fable 5 to our users quickly and safely. Visible safeguards can be probed, so they have to be robust, which takes time to get right. Invisible safeguards can be targeted more narrowly, allowing us to ship quickly with very few false positives. We went with invisible safeguards for this reason—and that was the wrong tradeoff. You should have visibility into the safeguards we have in place, and why. We’re sorry for not getting the balance right. Making the safeguards visible makes them easier to work around, so keeping them robust to jailbreaks will unfortunately mean more false positives while we improve the classifiers. We're also tuning our bio and cyber classifiers to trigger less often on harmless requests. We know this is frustrating and we’ll do our best to keep this period as short as possible. If you think a request has been mistakenly flagged: run /feedback in Claude Code, click thumbs-down on the fallback in Claude.ai or Cowork, or file the safeguard appeal form for API requests. Your reports help us tune these classifiers and we appreciate your feedback. support.claude.com/en/articles/82…
