This has been a bucket list wine of mine for years. The 1989 vintage of Haut Brion was an absolutely stunning, monumental wine well deserving of every 100 point score. @janeansonwine 's review suggests sharing it "with friends who will enjoy it as much as you do" and so I did.

Absolute stroke of random luck calling to @atthewinerack in Stewartstown yesterday. Called in to buy a few beers and ended up being treated to some 1998 Léoville Las Cases, 2014 Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc and amazing côte de boeuf! Company was amazing as well. Such a treat!

@DavidMarra Yes, pure branding/marketing. If I would pop the bottle I would also buy the regular one.

Bought this Dom Pérignon 2015 Jean-Michel Basquiat collection. Would you buy it?

@DavidMarra It’s a tad more expensive but way more exclusive than the standard bottle that is mass produced. I wont’t drink them. More like a small investment.

Coche-dury very typical nose that makes it an easy blind tasting candidate. Tried the Meursault 2013 a few years ago and now the “normal” Bourgogne. Great Champagne also: 100% pinot meunier 1er cru from Egly-Ouriet. 🍾

Solaia 2003 with a 550 gram grass fed Simmentaler ribeye. Sparkling saké as an aperitif. What more do you need for dinner?

@vinovest1 Seems older vintages don’t have the embossed detail. So doesn’t have to be fake. Saw a lot of legit bottles today that don’t have it.
