He is indeed a great man. He allowed millions of users not only to express their views, but also to get paid for the content they produce. Because of that, many accounts were able to dedicate themselves fully to the platform and even become full-time creators, just like on YouTube or TikTok. (Why not X too?) Now, the tide is shifting. The Head of Product, Nikita Bier, is taking over the platform as if he owns it, molding it to his own vision. The issue is not just shaping X to his liking. Nikita attacks, insults, and seems to genuinely resent paying the very users he is meant to support. There are: > Almost weekly changes made with zero consideration for established creators, the foundation of this platform. > Massive changes, up to 80%, to the Creator payouts, treated as if they are minor tweaks > New rules introduced every two weeks > An algorithm hated by everyone > Users afraid to disagree with Nikita Elon told Nikita to increase payouts in January. They did increase. Until Nikita found a way to reduce them again for 99% of users. He wants to reward “original creators”, those who record themselves talking to a camera. This excludes 99% or more of users. The very base of this platform. People like @atrupar, who spends 80 hours a week following politics and clipping Trump and the administration’s daily activity. Or @disclosetv, @rawsalerts, @TheInsiderPaper, and many large accounts people rely on for breaking news. Or @kirawontmiss, @InternetH0F, @historyinmemes for memes, history and commentary. They may not “create” in the traditional sense. They may not show their faces or record original videos. But they are the backbone of this app. They are relevant. They built audiences of millions because people are interested in what they share, regardless of who they are. They are followed, reposted, and engaged with by Elon Musk himself, because they provide value. Even if they did not hit record or reveal their identities or even ‘original’ opinions. They should be rewarded for it. This app was built on commentary, clips, captions, short posts, news, memes, and remixing content. This is not YouTube or TikTok. And people do not want it to be! They want the raw energy that built Twitter (X). Nikita Bier is turning this app into something it’s not. And in doing so, he is labeling the very backbone of this platform as people who are “engaging in fraud.” Absolutely insane. That is like Tim Cook attacking and insulting Apple customers. It is genuinely sad that someone like me, who gets 1,500 notifications a day, curates content, provides breaking news and commentary, relevant clips, stays up until 4-5am to follow US time zones, is being labeled a fraudster who “steals and reposts” and is “exploiting the program.” That is what Nikita Bier, Head of Product, accused me of, as if I have bad intentions, or as if being dedicated to this platform makes me a problem. Like many others who clip videos, write captions, provide value, and reach millions organically, we deserve respect. Not to have our platforms, built over years, sometimes over a decade, destroyed by a man who arbitrarily decided who is a creator and who is not. Please, @elonmusk take this seriously.
