Never invest in anyone named Thomas Bryson from Utah. This is what Spec looks like. Liars don’t deserve investor money.

periodic reminder that Spec is a lying bitch who is hurt because YC rejected his startup and he failed so he holds a vendetta against YC (and Garry) and loves lying and chaos sowing while professing to be a good Mormon boy. Last time he got caught he nuked his own account. His own cofounders kicked him out of his last startup. YC backs thousands of founders. You can’t back 1000 startups without a few liars, frauds, and charlatans sneaking their way in or cutting the wrong corners, or doing dumb shit to get ahead. (Anyone who has run a program helping startups at 1000+ scale has had to deal with this shit and I’ve seen it at AWS and Microsoft) Furthermore, there’s no way to permanently underwrite another human. That’s why we have accredited investor laws. And courts and judges. The actions of an individual startup don’t represent the whole sum of YC’s skill and track record in filtering out these types (and even filtering out founders like Spec who are destined to fail on their own merit) be careful who you give mind to

Spec lied that theo leaked the bookface post, which if true, could have resulted in Theo's removal from bookface. Spec lied, claiming that I'm a fake VC (im not a VC) Spec lied, claiming last year that he was an "exited" founder. reality - he "exited" his company. Spec builds his entire persona around "revealing truths" and yet spreads lies? I've never once taken issue with Spec criticizing YC publicly. I do take issue with slanderous lies. does this seem unfair?

You just look petty going after a founder trying to blacklist him for speaking his mind. Meanwhile you’re defending Garry who supported a fraudulent startup that fakes compliance reports and stole an OSS project to resell it. He only booted them out of YC to save face once he saw how pissed the OSS community was. Accountability is good for the ecosystem. So is free speech. Move to the UK if you can’t handle it.

spec is a founder from Utah who deletes his account periodically, spins up 3 or 4 alt accounts and then obscure posts / shitpoasts / and eventually just starts deadass lying until he can rebuild an audience of founders rejected by YC (there’s a ton obviously) for clout to soothe his loneliness and underwrite the justification of his own failures. Nik and the boys who shitpoast adjacent just get caught in his little psyops.

Correction: Spec (Thomas Bryson) had one cofounder, an equal equity split, and claims he “left on his own terms” He continues to lie claiming Theo broke Bookface decorum (an offense that could get him banned if it wasn’t categorically false) and claims that I am a “fake VC” (my bio clearly states angel investor and I’ve not raised my own fund or worked for a VC fund or lead anyone to believe otherwise) Both are libelous statements but my research leads me to believe Thomas doesn’t have enough assets to make him worth anyone’s time.
