Generally speaking, this is what happens when you don’t need to work hard for things that others work so hard for. You probably already have a secured seat, and some meet and greet time with BTS because of your influence, and that’s good for you. But you should have sat this one out—you don’t get to tell people to touch some grass when they fight tooth and nail for a fraction of what you have that they also rightfully deserve. This is no different when the poor call out injustices and inequalities in the government and rich people say “sumunod na lang kayo” or when fanatics say “kayo na lang mag-presidente” — so no, you and your privileged friends should have just shut up. If you’re not willing to fight the fight for injustice with the people, the least you can do is not mock and downplay it by telling them to “touch some grass.” And before anybody comes at me saying “it’s not that serious” — but it is, because this clearly shows how corrupted the system is and how these misguided takes are the very reason why we never progress. This is applicable in as simple as fangirling to as big as how this country treats the oppressed, to how this government gets away with their shitty doings. Touch some grass, she says, the one living in such green, green pastures. 🙃
