Honestly, that would be the best solution to give most of the fandom some peace of mind. But instead, they keep pushing this kind of agenda because it guarantees that people will keep talking about it.
There would be absolutely nothing wrong with allowing people who worked together for years to acknowledge or mention each other. I know many people will come back with the usual “they ended on bad terms” stories, but that argument doesn’t really hold up. They have media training. If they wanted to, they could easily be polite, answer a few questions during a live, throw in a simple “we’re/ I’m happy for him/them” or “please support him/them,” and a lot of the speculation would die down.
Instead, the preferred narrative seems to be one that encourages fans to analyze every appearance, every gesture, every word, and every movement, trying to figure out why everything feels so strange. People are constantly pushed to read between the lines and, in doing so, keep fueling endless online discussions.
At this point, everything seems designed to generate conversation, even the title of this song. We already know they’re doing fine. We’ve always known they were talented enough to succeed at anything they chose to do. So what’s the point of making a song that emphasizes something we already knew, if not to draw attention to it? Especially when the official approach often seems to be pretending none of it ever happened and discouraging any discussion about it.
And maybe I’m starting to think that’s exactly what we’re here for, for them: to make noise. The decision itself may have been made suddenly, but everything that followed doesn’t feel accidental at all.

even if belift wants to push this agenda of them separating so badly why not let us at least have a proper departure and a proper goodbye? why not let the members engage with each other instead of acting like heeseung doesn’t exist?
