I was happy to attend the graduation of candidates from our “All About Trees” program yesterday! Participants received training in the basics of tree care to prepare them for job opportunities in the field. Funded by a federal grant that also funds tree installations in the city!

I visited our Youth Bureau summer programs Monday, including our Careers in Medicine, Tech, Entrepreneurship, and Community Garden groups. Impressive work being done by our young people! Thank you to the instructors that make it happen!
Update: White Plains own Claire Weinstein, first in her semi-final heat, has qualified for the Olympic Finals in the Women’s 200 freestyle! At the age of 17, she is the youngest swimmer on the US Women’s team! Congratulations, Claire your city is proud of you! Go Tigers!
