@Jringo1508 Did 8th Grade in Canada. History was US Civil War. Teacher/principal said Grant was at Gettysburg. Smartalec me, having just read Bruce Catton. pointed out it was Meade. Had to bring him the book. Used to correct spelling on stuff sent home and send it back.

Click bait post. Who here had the experience of having to teach a teacher? Classic: 7th grade tried to explain to a teacher with 'A Bachelors in English Literature from the University of Alabama' that 'cataract' has more than one meaning. Me: 'It can also mean a type of white water.' Teacher pulls out Merriam-Webster's Terminally Abridged for the Terminally Ignorant. Teacher: 'Cataract. A disease of the eye.' Me; 'Maybe you should get a real dictionary?' And there I was in the principal's office. Again. How bout you?
