Hunter Towne died in a room at the Extended Stay America Premier Suites on Jan. 10, 2024. According to the medical examiner’s office, the child’s death was caused by “caregiver medical neglect.” Police added Hunter and his family, including five other children and two pets, had been living at the hotel in “deplorable conditions.”
