Just watched an episode of The Twilight Zone from the 1960s and a character ordered an iced coffee. You mean I’m not young and cool and hip?!

One of my favorite things I've read recently is about a woman who said whenever a negative thought about herself popped up, she would shout "GUARDS!" and imagine knights entering and carrying the thought away.

It's been a while since I drew a Major Arcana to #paint - but I'm pretty excited about Justice, because I've already painted both her neighbors! All the Major Arcana are planned to have overlaps so they can be laid in a circle. I can't wait to show you!

Today's video is the Nine of Crows - the nightmare card!

Been kinda a rough day. Quick and dirty hand drawings in ink as a self-soothing measure. (I love drawing hands.)

@Jonny337799 Have you tried coming at it from a different angle? One way is to draw things while blindfolded, exploring the shape only with touch. Another is to have a friend provide with objects you've never seen before (eg machinery parts) and work from those, thus negating what you 'know'.

My art is inconsistent because it lacks a solid foundation. My drawings are just freehand lines; the truth is, I can't "see" a drawing of a human head as an actual 3D form. I only see lines, contours, and relationships between the positions of elements.

I found a #doodle I made ~20 years ago, while working at a dental insurance company's call center. 😂 Christ. ...I was fired from that job for having "an attitude problem". Only job I've ever been fired from. So I guess it's pretty accurate?

This week's #tarot card, the seven of harts (/wands), is the 39th card I have painted. I am halfway done. Antlers down, and charge! (I need that advice this week, I think.)

@Un_inked And I think being able to listen to your subconscious effectively is probably one of the most useful skills to cultivate, as an artist and a human. 😊

@Un_inked Yup, cups are water, swords are air, and pentacles is the practical, earth element suit. I tried to pair the animals accordingly! My swords fly as crows! And dogs are the water element, because emotion, etc.

@VisioTenshi The thing that has helped me improve the most has been to start working from a totally different angle. You draw a lot of people? Maybe draw your breakfast instead! Or trees! You only work in digital? It's color pencil time! Play, have fun, and don't judge yourself. 😊

Sometimes I think I may not actually have passion for art like the way others do. Because I tell myself I’ll practice, but no matter how many times I try to practice, I always end up getting bored or just frustrated. This is why my art is barely improving and I hate that.
