@_middleEarth Jamie is great and all but Martin really lacks perspective. There is no way to overcome Aragorn’s 80 years of combat experience. Leaving aside the physical advantages he has (ancestors include Elves and an actual Demigod.) Even the common elves in LOTR would annihilate Jamie.

George R. R. Martin once said that Jaime Lannister would beat Aragorn in a straight fight.

After watching quite a bit of this show, it's impossible not to notice something. Most of these people are ridiculously low IQ. Their families are nearly all as incredibly stupid and are often fat, too. This is an example of high time preference. There is only the now, there's no way to envision the future for them. A person of normal intelligence would think, "If I'm going to eat this whole cake, I'll get fat." These people can't possibly think about downstream effects. They simply don't have the cognitive function. This is a plague of those with IQs in the 80s. It impacts every aspect of their life. There is no tomorrow. There's only cake. Giving full agency to people below the curve generally ends in disaster. They can't help it.

It didn't fail to reflect the gravity of the situation. It failed to accurately communicate who was responsible, who the intended victims were and where the blame for the attempted terrorist attack lay. In other words you didn't accidentally downplay the seriousness of it, you deliberately misrepresented what happened to conceal the truth from the public.

@dbs_10_10 Buhan, easy. Been locked up for millennia so the statute of limitations for that murder spree is gone. Then plead insanity, multiple personality disorder and the cognitive ability of a 5 year old. On top of that he is an immigrant and dosent understand our laws and customs.
