This story is yet again harrowing, and the children involved have been fighting for justice for over 7 years now, and we @TMOFCharity have supported them through this journey. The journalist @JonAustinjourn1 has been reporting on this since 2019, and here is an early story where he set out the background. We fought the girls cases long and hard with @Humberbeat police first then with Op Hydrant but this got us nowhere, so we approached @SkyNews who then shared the story in a really good piece they put together which you can still see on our website. This drew mass media attention to this case and finally the case was reopened due to all the pressure. However another 3 traumatic years later it’s been closed down yet again. Why? Who knows. Not even the girls have had a proper explanation but we will do our best to get some answers. The girls involved were also part of the group that we took to meet @annelongfield in February and it is very clear their cases MUST be part of this new statutory enquiry. As should cases from Bradford, Rochdale, Cumbria, Rotherham, Telford, Keighley, Oldham….. time will tell, but we will fight relentlessly to ensure those who want a voice, have one.
