Call for help. My mum was hit with a stroke in may 2024. Since then our lives haven't remained the same. My family have spent all our savings yet her condition hasn't changed. She has severe BP challenge, she has diabetes. Which has gone on to take a toll on her kidneys.

@Razumasu i can only ssh into a root user in my LXC but if i have a new user to use instead? It feels impossible to do so. i would love to know how to honestly

@yolenodev LXC access always feels like the one thing that should be simple and never quite is. I ended up just SSHing in most of the time.

wanted to level up my homelab with metrics and backups sadly my setup was too rigid to iterate on without tearing it all down. plus, I was seriously struggling with LXC container access for my file storage. ⁠pct enter⁠ works, but it felt messy…..

skill issue honestly anyway, I moved things over to a VM instead. It’s not yet up, SSH is working though. any more suggestions on what should look into next?

just what i am running on my homelab. running a ubuntu server container with cloudfare to tunnel all the ports to a custom domain. jellyfin for media immich for pictures. a file manager to view files. proud of this setup. any more suggestions?

@stanlee0nX it’s a huge problem honestly more reason why I built my home server from an old pc it’s a minimal solution but if it add more storage to it, it solves a lot

Digital storage is actually a very big problem, whoever solves that will eat for life.

finally done setting up my homelab. an old 1TB hp elite book running on proxmox, used docker to run most of my services on an ubuntu container with 40gb. trying to setup caddy to reverse proxy to a domain but i heard tailscale could help still confused on that.
