“…وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ” …And Allah loves those who are patient. Surah Aal-E-Imran (3:146)

Sh. Bin Bāz said: "Shyness that prevents you from speaking the truth is not Shyness at all, but only weakness." ● {فتاوى إسلامية ٨/٧٥}

Imam Shafi’i رحمه الله said: “Conceal your hardship so much so the people presume you are blessed and have an easy life.” [Manaqib ash-Shafi’i, 2/188]

'Umar b. al-Khaṭṭāb said: "O' Allāh, if You have written me down as being someone who is miserable, then erase that for me; and instead write me down as being happy. For indeed, You erase whatever You wish, and You write down and uphold whatever You wish." {مجموع فتاوى جلد رقم ١٤ صحفة ٢٧٥}

I’m so in love with this saying, “If you love sleeping, start waking up for Tahajjud; If you love money, start giving more charity; If you love listening to music, start listening to Quran. If you love food, start fasting; because your love for Dunya should not outweigh your love for Allah.

Wallah ! This is so true.

Will you help someone if you know you’ll get nothing in return? That’s the real test of sincerity. The truth is anyone can help when there’s something to gain in return; but to help when there’s nothing there for you, shows true love and a beautiful heart.

When Sheikh Omar Suleiman said “Everyone is tested differently. Some with an enemy who hates them, others with a loved one who doesn't love them back.” It really hit home🥺

Stay positive. Don't let rejection from a few, make you miserable and stop you from seeing the brighter side. Such is life; you can’t please everyone so don’t even try. Focus on who is for you rather than who is against you. That’s the way forward.

Don’t give yourself everything you want. Make yourself wait. Your nafs is like a baby. Discipline yourself. May Allah ﷻ make us among the patient, and grant us opportunity to practice patience, beautifully and with excellence.

This year made me realize you don't always wait for duas to get answered, some duas also wait for you to bring positive change in your personality so you become actually worthy of the blessing you ask for. Wait is not for making your patient, its for making you a better version.

Sometimes, we forget that people are also trials...
