@zaiisu @georgegriffiths Oh, I watched it live. I was 19 when it premiered. And the pilot got a lot of hype and acclaim. So, I was looking forward to it… and was disappointed. But I still kept watching for a while, hoping it would improve and because I wanted to be familiar with the zeitgeist.

the glee pilot is so good bc of how different it is the to the rest of the show. it’s glee’s original concept (a satirical black comedy, like election) in its purest form… before it got so popular it just became a jukebox musical and lost its bite

@zaiisu @georgegriffiths I started watching Glee when I was 19. Maybe I had already aged out. But besides a decent number here and there and a funny line here and there, I was indifferent. You have to kinda turn your brain off to enjoy it thoroughly.
