I urge my fellow Christians to approach these matters not through the lens of personal ideology or political preference, but according to the moral principles handed on by Holy Mother Church and her magisterium. All Christians must reject unjust discrimination on the basis of religion or ethnicity. But that principle must not be misused to silence legitimate criticism of governments.

Thanks for urging moral principles over ideology. We do reject unjust discrimination on religion or ethnicity. Christ lives in every believer, so no room for hate. Yet the real lens isn’t any magisterium or human system. It’s Jesus Himself in us. His kingdom is not of this world, Jn 18:‌36. Fair critique of any government, including Israel’s, stays open without false labels. True unity comes from Christ alone, not political alliances or ethnic ties. Jesus is the issue. He unites us beyond all divisions.

What about those who aren’t Christians and discriminate on the basis of religion and/or ethnicity? Are we not to call them out for their beliefs and actions against the innocent. If we hold our tongues against indiscriminate violence toward those they hate then we are no better. The false labeling needs to end.
