@BeSaintly We're all just really sick of the tone-deaf "technically true but directionally false" pandering. Like, technically he didn't say anything heretical, but we're really just over having to expect the literal bare minimum from the bishops. It's extremely tiring.

The attempt on part of Trad (tm) snake oil salesmen to manufacture scandals about Pope Leo to make him appear as the reincarnation of Pope Francis is proving unsuccessful and is unlikely to have lasting influence in shaping perception. My prayer is that this will cost them financially and bring about a healthier climate for Catholic discourse

I urge my fellow Christians to approach these matters not through the lens of personal ideology or political preference, but according to the moral principles handed on by Holy Mother Church and her magisterium. All Christians must reject unjust discrimination on the basis of religion or ethnicity. But that principle must not be misused to silence legitimate criticism of governments.
