@FoxNews now the focus shifts to what “finishing this” actually means in strategy, accountability, and outcomes. Honoring sacrifice isn’t just about resolve, it’s about decisions that prevent more of it.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has made similar statements regarding the ongoing military conflict in Iran, including, "We didn't start this war, but under President Trump, we are finishing it". Hegseth has also vowed to "honor their sacrifice" in the context of the American "Operation Epic Fury," particularly when confirming American casualties. The sentiments emphasize a, "decisive, devastatingly and without mercy," stance to "destroy Iranian offensive missiles".

@FoxNews Translation: “We’re not stopping till Iran’s regime is history.” Sacrifice honored = more strikes incoming. Who’s next in the “finish this” lineup?

As an Iranian who dreams of a free Iran, my heart breaks for the six brave American airmen lost in Iraq. They died far from home in a fight tied to the regime that has oppressed our people for decades. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten by millions of Iranians longing for peace and freedom. Deepest condolences to their families. May their memory bring strength. Rest in peace, heroes. 🫡🇺🇸🕊️

@FoxNews Big claims but what’s the actual endgame here? Winning a narrative isn’t the same as winning stability. Curious to hear real strategy, not just headlines.

@FoxNews On one side is an emphasis on responsibility and sacrifice; on the other, weariness and skepticism toward "long-term war" and "political slogans."

"We will finish it." Pete Hegseth on the war with Iran. How many more Americans must die to finish it? How many mothers, fathers, spouses suffer from the loss. How many children will grow up without a parent? How many Americans will come back wounded to finish it? Their dreams dramatically changed. How many Americans will suffer from PTSD to finish it? How many relationships will suffer? How many Americans will commit suicide to finish it? For some, the war never ends.

@FoxNews Now the spotlight’s on what ‘finishing this’ really mean in strategy, in accountability, and in results. Honoring sacrifice ain’t just about grit or resolve; it’s about making the hard decisions that stop more of it from happening.

We are grateful for their service and sacrifices. These beautiful soldiers and their families understand the importance of this mission.  Yesterday in Iran, in the middle of a war, the regime executed a 19 year old national wrestling champion for the crime of joining January protests.  This is pure evil. A regime that executes its own young athletes for speaking out has no legitimacy, none. Nothing will change while this brutal system remains in power. The Iranian people deserve freedom, justice, and a future without fear and that means real change must come soon. The world must stop appeasing and start holding this regime accountable. Israel must finally be able to live in peace after decades of terror and loss. President Trump, stand firm, justice cannot wait. @POTUS
Masih Alinejad 🏳️@AlinejadMasih

Today, in Iran, in the middle of a war, the regime executed a 19-year-old national wrestling champion for the crime of joining January protests. 💔 After signaling to the world, including President @realDonaldTrump, that they would halt executions of protesters, the regime has done the exact opposite. Three young protesters, Saleh Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, were hanged in Qom after a sham trial. Reports indicate torture. Forced confessions. No access to chosen lawyers. Closed-door proceedings. No right to appeal. I call on @GlobalAthleteHQ to stand with Iranian athletes who are being silenced, imprisoned, and executed simply for raising their voices. This is not just about sports. This is about human dignity.
