In the title screen of Super Mario 64, when the player is grabbing Mario's face, the hand is actually grabbing pink diamonds that act as control points. The diamonds are always present, but their opacity is simply set to 0. Here, the reality of the interaction is made visible.

@MarioBrothBlog Wait, is this saying you can grab Mario’s eyes? I’ve never tried that, only his nose, mouth, mustache, ears and hat

@MarioBrothBlog We’ve actually all got little pink diamonds inside us all faces too, it’s just that they’re only visible to those family members who pinch their relatives faces for whatever reason

@MarioBrothBlog trying to mess with mario’s face in 3DAS was damn near impossible and probably was the reason why the game was so hated

@MarioBrothBlog In truth, we all have invisible pink diamonds all over our bodies. You just need enough Insight to see them.
