They gotta drop Daniss and sasser if they get a scoring guard. I do not get having a 6’6 point guard and not having huge lineups. I want okorie to be the smallest guy on the team and have no other guards who are limited defensively because of their height. He’s also is not a playmaker and is just a different archetype sasser scoring guard they should’ve taken Christian Anderson he has the shot and playmaking🤦‍♂️

I am hoping Detroit uses their MLE to get a scoring guard and uses their trade assets for a 4. There’s no 4’s in FA I really like, whereas getting another scoring guard is rather easy to do.

Pistons went into the play offs with Cade and 4 one way players and their solution to that is another one way scorer thats biggest defensive liability on the team and does this in the play offs

I agree on the Ron point I feel like he’ll find his offensive role faster than Ron and could reach Ron’s defensive level too. A 6’8 wing that can take you off the dribble, iso and make reads sounds worth taking. I could see him running offense when Cade isn’t on the floor or even when he’s out there to get the ball out his hands. If the shot comes along he could start at the 2 and have no one out there shorter than Cade

@mitxhelI I’m cool with that if we are trading Ron. If not it’s ideal to have 3 non shooting wings. I’m more excited about Okorie right now, unless Ron is traded.

It will be the worst thing they could do even if contracts increase as the cap increases some contracts remain bad years later. Lavine, sabonis, poeltl, quickly, Fox, pg, grant, Poole, etc saying the cap will go up to justify having Jd on 40m dollar contract while not having a true second option is the wrong choice. It will have the team realizing they made the wrong bet and trying to pivot when Cade is 30 while being fake competitive until then.

Paying a traditional, non-shooting big man over 30 million dollars is a massive trap. If you look at NBA history, teams only win titles spending big on centers in two scenarios: - They either have a superstar offensive hub like Nikola Jokic or Karl-Anthony Towns taking up over 25 percent of the cap, or an elite floor-spacer like Kristaps Porzingis taking up around 18 percent. For a pure rim protector like Walker Kessler, history says you need to keep that slot under 10 percent of your cap, just like the Warriors did with Andrew Bogut or the Thunder did with Chet Holmgren. Dropping 30 million on Kessler means he would eat up nearly 20 percent of a 165 million dollar cap. You just cannot win a championship paying elite unicorn money to a defensive specialist. The Jazz can't budge on this.

How Ausar be carrying the defense next season

@D_D_Pistons_Fan It was the same thing with Tobias and Duncan last year but at least Tobias had the strength to defend the position, Trey isn’t even a four and hero is just as bad as Duncan on defense. We saw how much dribble penetration those 2 gave up.

I Agree Trey will get bullied by Aaron Gordon while hero is getting hunted by Jamal Pritchard seeks hero while Jt bullies Trey Mobley goes thru Trey while harden/mitch is hunting hero And it goes on and on your defense is only as good as your weakest defender and I would rather that be Trey or Jd with Trey at the 3 and Ausar stop poa

This would be awful when you include the picks it takes to do it and look at the depth that is left. (Ku is not recommending this by the way) If the Pistons get Murphy, he should be SF and Ausar should play SG in my opinion.

Nah him gaining 15 pounds takes away from his superpower and removes him from where he’s best at. You want Cade on every teams best guard? Or Trey? Ausar is the best screen navigator itl and even tho he can technically guard 1-5 he struggles with bigger forwards. I don’t think we should take him out of his current role of shutting down opps best ball handlers and taking them out the game.
