Update: got glasses. Honestly didn’t realize I needed them until like last week. My prescription isn’t terrible but I can actually read small print and see little details on screens now! Just in time for another trip ‘round the U.S.A!!

After years of volunteering and advocating in various states, I had the opportunity to work with several nonprofits focused on educating the public about marijuana. As I grew in my role, I gained support from individuals who recognized my passion for helping people understand the significant and often devastating impacts of marijuana commercialization. With their encouragement and support, I established my own nonprofit, Every Brain Matters. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and remain committed to my mission, despite the challenges posed by pro-marijuana advocates. To continue my work, I need to raise funds for salaries, materials, resources, projects, and campaigns. I want to emphasize that I do not accept funding from the alcohol, pharmaceutical, or tobacco industries. I kindly ask you to consider supporting my efforts this Giving Tuesday. Your contributions will help me provide recovery resources to families and educate communities. To make a donation, please use this link: everybrainmatters.org/donate/ Additionally, please take a moment to review my latest newsletter for a better understanding of my work, at this link: conta.cc/49GHozJ Thank you, Aubree Adams #GivingTuesday #everybrainmatters

The Every Brain Matters newsletter 🗞️ is here to address the critical issues surrounding marijuana commercialization, its impact on families, and the alarming rise of THC products in our communities. This month, we focus on the new THC hemp ban🚫 and the correlation between marijuana legalization and homelessness, share recovery resources, and highlight personal stories that reveal the human cost of addiction. 🤝 Join us in advocating for education and support to combat the normalization of marijuana use. @BrittMcHenry I’ve just recovered from this so I “feel your pain”. Standard advice, but seeing a Podiatrist is your best bet, imho. He taped my foot for support then, iced it, etc. it minimized the pain considerably, then had me get custom orthotics. Big help!

My brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia in his late 20s. Heavy marijuana user, so this topic is close to my heart, because it was devastating to witness his life ruined by this. Thank you for doing this podcast. I will add info below why smoking pot triggers psychosis in vulnerable people.

Once you understand just how destructive cannabis is to young men, it’s hard not to see it as a tool of social control. Dr. Daniel Amen explains. (0:00) How Does Marijuana Affect the Brain? @AMWheelock @RutgersAltRoute I share these concerns. I think ultimately teachers need to let students know that for testing purposes, they will need to actually understand the material and they disservice themselves when grading time comes if they don't actually understand what use AI for.

@JBR_Kleinmann @RutgersAltRoute Yes, I'm finding my students are so nimble with new technology, its so exciting. Sometimes I think they get held back by not access to pro-accounts that they can really get fluent.

@RutgersAltRoute I actually feel quite isolated within the larger ed community, and technology and discussions like this forces me to explore options that others at my school haven’t before! I love the belief that educating children can be a collective, global feat. #EdTech #TeacherEd

@JBR_Kleinmann @RutgersAltRoute Do you find your pre-service teachers using social media for PLN development on their own? Do you encourage it. As an adjunct, I'd like to explore it more, but I don't sense students are engaging with each other that way. I'd love your thoughts. #TeacherEd #EdTech

@RutgersAltRoute Q4: it’s important to keep parents and caregivers in the loop as their child learns. Technology makes this process easier through apps such as Class Dojo where teachers can post updates and parents can comment directly to address concerns. #Teachered #EdTech

@RutgersAltRoute A4 Family engagement is important in students school. Technology is a very useful tool to help communicate easily with parents about anything that is going on. Clear communication is the best way to help support students in school and out of school #TeacherEd #EdTech
